Creating the visible force field we walked above the crowds, looking down at the shops and the people we saw from above, Tommy and Danny was having great fun no longer getting barged and trampled by the ongoing rampage of mages in tough boots. “Left Jamie, go left” Danny said following my path as I lead them down into the empty street, dropping my path down into steps we were soon walking along the normal ground. Heading into Green Street the place was alive with noise of various tones; we could hear the shouts of girlish screams and that of boys cheering as well as the noises coming from the stores. Heading into a Café we each bought a drink, I decided on a mug of Bingleberry mead; although completely un-alcoholic it was sweet and fizzy, and frankly rather delicious, Tommy and Danny both drank Roman Latte’s, they looked awesome the magic in the drink made the foam turn 3D, two little foam figures acting out a fight sequence before dropping into the drink. “So when are you going to ask out Jess, I mean no offence but it’s just a matter of time before you decide to ask her” Danny said laughing whilst I blushed trying to brush off his comment to no avail “I don’t know, every time I think I will go ask her another girl enters my life” I said instantly regretting my words seeing them pick up in it “So who’s the new girl” Tommy asked sitting forward making me rather nervous “Her names Kathleen but I know nothing of her, I don’t even know her last name. I taught her to teleport and that was it but she makes Summer look like Patty Kingsley” I said making the boys cackle with laughter. “I can’t wait to meet her, what year is she in?” Danny asked impatient with my time to answer “Her first but she goes to Lady P’s” I said seeing them sigh “Anyway, do you know anything about school secrets, she said something about Lady P’s having something they didn’t share with the other schools, students and professors” I asked curiously seeing Danny laugh “My older sister went to Lady P’s, she said something about a secret gang of some kind but I thought she was just winding me up” He said making me smile hearing some truth behind it. “Well I would like to find out more” I said standing up and downing my drink before leaving with the boys. Walking down the street we spotted a joke story which looked popular, the large clown on the roof was a bit of a giveaway but none the less it looked amazing. Stepping inside we entered what could only be considered as a war zone, things were flying in every directions, teens were smelling and testing things whilst the browsed. Going in a circuit I read the names of the products to myself amazed at what would be considered a Joke item “Exploding Veg... Love Potions... Idiot Juice...Alien Smoke Bomb... Truthful Chews... Mute in a can” I read out stunned at the stuff they sold “What’s ‘Mute in a can’” Tommy asked whilst I picked up the can reading it out. “When opening the can the beholder of the can will instantly become mute for 24 hours unable to speak or hear anything... Warning effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, itchy skin, irregular heartbeat, cardiac arrest and sweaty palms” I said seeing the boys laugh whilst I quickly put the can back. Walking around and moving up a floor we entered a fight, in the large open space of the floor two sides of teens stood watching for the bell in each their hands what looked like a half a dozen water bombs. Picking up our own of tables nearby I saw people of Air class bursting their balloons revealing the colourful dust inside, creating small tornados in their hands with the colourful dust. “Dry paint fight” I said walking directly into the front of the closest side floating every single paint bomb around me. The teens on my side were instantly grinning at their new chance of winning whilst the other team looked undeterred, looking back at the table I noticed that it was instantly full again and whilst I floated another bomb off the table it was magically replaced with a duplicate. Taking control I floated the entire table contents above my teams head, then a second table, and a third. When the countdown started I also floated the balloons from their table up above their head. “3...2...1...” We chanted watching the clock whilst the second I heard the bell I lunched the first wave of bomb on them, instantly covering them in paint. Seeing some wind whip around I quickly created a force field around my side of the room protecting my entire team, with the dust starting to settle I fired the next round of bombs as well as their own bombs floating above their head. Looking at the clock I saw it had only 20seconds left so with all my remaining bombs I fired them at the cloud of paint no long able to see the teens inside. “Ding, ding, ding” the bell went signalling the end of the game as the paint magically lifted off the floor and people floating into the large glass tankers around the room in the different colours, Standing up the losing team looking at me and my team of un-dirtied players who were all cheering. Not a single spec of paint had hit us whilst they were covered, “What’s your name kid” a man said walking up to me, an odd looking man who seemed unearthly happy being here “Jamie Dovell” I said calmly watching him turn and trot off, walking up to a little podium “And the winner is Jamie Dovell of the Red team” he said clapping wildly and over enthusiastically whilst the people who played the game just casually walked away. Moving along we checked out a few of the other peculiar items they sold here ‘Screaming Streamers, Stink Spray, Thoughts be loud’ I read to myself browsing the isle “What’s this?” I said looking at the small vial saying ‘Thoughts be Loud’ “What do you think Jamie, it makes you speak every thought your thinking off, my brother said he did it to a girl who confessed being in love with a boy, it didn’t end well for her” Tommy said my hand instantly withdrawing from it finding it more problematic than fun. Walking back out the store after buying a few alien smoke bombs and a truth serum I was surprised at how cheap it all was, with my notes equalling 840 of whatever the currency was here those 4 items only cost me a fiver. “Yo Danny, what’s this currency called” I asked holding out a note with the number 10 on it. “Nobody knows its actual name but the unofficial name is Septims, from the guy who created the idea of using notes Timothy Septim” he said firmly knowing the truth. “Easy enough to remember” I said to myself walking with them up the street into a few clothes stores, checking out what they had to sell. I spotted nearly a dozen things I like but, this wasn’t the right time to slow everybody down by shopping, I could do that on my own. Walking up Green Street we checked out several clothes stores, a music store and a pet store, they weren’t bound pets just normal animals captured in the wild and sold as pets, sort of like slavery. Cute fluffy slavery. Wandering around the town we grabbed some lunch before Danny said he had to go, with Tommy following him I was left alone in Bacra. Turning around I went straight back to the clothes stores being all the items I wanted and only spending about 70septims. Granted I only wanted some new shoes and a robe, the clothes were still cheap. Leaving Green Street, I headed back to the more formal shops. I looked inside a few enchantment stores hoping to find something I could use but alas all the enchantments that I could use cost about 2000 Septims which was an amount I didn’t have and didn’t know how to get. “Can I help you sir?” the women asked looking down at me from over the counter “Sorry, I guess these are a little out of my price range” I said calmly smiling up at her before turning to walk away “Your Jamie Dovell, aren’t you” she asked quickly getting my attention, turning to face her I nodded with a smile watching her grin excitedly before rushing around the counter grabbing my hand pulling me back into the store. “No no NO, please take what you want, you can have anything here you want, if you let me say that you shopped here, it will be good for business” she said desperately causing me to grin, looking at all the things I wanted. “Will in that case, could I have that Fire Enchant over there and some other magical enchants as well please” I said watching her quickly sprint away “Fireproof, Sparkler or Halo?” she shouted back to me whilst I tried to guess what they did. Sparkler seemed pretty obvious, but Halo confused me “What does Halo do?” I asked stand at the counter with her high up on the ladder looking at different bowls and scrolls. “Let’s, this enchantment will create a small fiery halo around your head, although invisible at most times when a spell is cast and heading towards you the fire will activate and absorb it, increasing the size of the halo and removing its invisibility. A total of 5 spells can be absorbed before you have to empty the halo by putting your wand into the fire and casting out the absorbed spells” she read out to me opening the scroll, each word she spoke making it sound better and better. “I’ll take it, on a fire pendant please” I said watching her carry the scroll down then casting the words on the scroll onto a small fiery shaped piece of wood, a piece matching that already in my bracelet. Handing it over to me I quickly slipped it in place, the chrome metal growing allowing it to drop in before closing around it trapping it there. With the pendant in place I felt the enchantment taking affect on me, the thin halo quickly appearing on my head before turning invisible. “Which magical enchants did you want my sweet” the lady asked moving onto another ladder which could roll around as bowls filled up the entire side of the wall “I have no idea, what enchants do you have?” I asked nervously seeing the large number of bowls, watching her climb down she picked up a book of the side handing it to me. “Every enchant I own is in the back, let me know which ones you want” she said calmly leaving the room. Placing it on the counter I went through the first page not really reading them but more flicking through the names, and category’s to see if anything caught my eye. Reaching the end of the short book I was now more worried I didn’t have enough space on my bracelet. “Could I please get ‘Unyielding weaponry’ ‘Electrical Mastery’ ‘Unchained Spirit’ and ‘’Karma” I asked seeing her grin but looked a bit confused that I didn’t go for the rather weak joke enchants but the more hefty and powerful ones. Unyielding weaponry – This enchant will cause your wand to always return to your body, no matter where you leave it, it will instantly appear in your hand when needed. “That could be handy when training, nobody could disarm me” I thought going through the text again whilst she collected the things I asked for. Electrical Mastery – Although this is a magical enchant, this enchant itself increases the conductivity of your wand, When using your electricity talent pushing it out through the wand will give you complete control and no whiplash. Unchained Spirit – This enchant increases your focus and spirit levels dramatically, caution this enchant may cause you to be happier than normal due to the increased spirit level. Karma – This enchant will increase your magical output when your truly believe you are taking the right course of action. “Here you go” she said handing me the pendants having already cast the enchantment, snapping me back from my day dream thinking about the enchantments she was holding in her hand. “Thank you” I said taking the different shaped pendants holding them to my bracelet as the chrome again opened up and then moulded itself to the new shape. Electrical mastery being a wooden lightning bolt whilst the other three were simply round circular pendants, “Thank you for your business” she said watching me leave the door whilst I was still trying to get used to the feeling of the enchants on my body. Karma was a weird one, when I decided it was time to head home I felt a weird sense of approval in my body which was confusing to say the least. Teleporting back home, I luckily arrived home before Jess and her mum Bethany had arrived which gave me time to make this place look a bit better. By 6pm I heard the sound of groaning through the woods as although Jess was happy her mum wasn’t, trudging through the woods in her designer clothes but the time she became visible she looked miserable. “Hey Jess” I said looking out from my tree house as she looked up at me grinning, before checking out the place dumping her bag in the main tent before joining me in my tree house. “Hey you, you ok?” she asked climbing into my tree house whilst I was playing with Prince “Yeah I’m great, just bored really, parents dragging me out here, but at least I have somebody interesting to talk to now” I said hearing her giggle and smile back at me before laying on the hammock whilst I sat on the floor. “So where’s your bed for tonight” she asked grinning to herself whilst staring up through the hole in the canopy, the sky going orange whilst the sun set. “You in it, are you staying in here with me then?” I asked watching her nod, not saying anything or breaking focus from the clouds. With her lying there I made a second hammock directly next to it as well as extending the viewing whole in the canopy so we could both see the stars when they came out. With Jess unmoving from my hammock unofficially claiming it as her own, I climbed up into the new one, looking up as clouds fly over our heads, with the sky darkening you could see the twinkle of stars start to appear, the light of the sun masking them for the whole day and now get to shine through the darkness and decorate our sky. Neither of us said a word for at a couple of hours, but it wasn’t an awkward silence, we just lay their together watching the stars like it was the most normal thing in the word. “Jamie, Jess. Dinner” mum shouted waking me from my gaze into space, rolling out of the hammock Jess followed me out, I created a force field slide going down which was fun to take, making our trip down just that little bit quicker. Looking at the seat I saw Bethany had taken the single seat so I quickly grew a bench next to it. Jess was grinning when she saw me build the bench, I tried to figure out whether it was because I could build a bench or because I built a bench and not two seats, however it became pretty obvious when I sat down and she sat next to me wrapping her arm around mine and leaning against me. Looking to the dwindling fire I had been ignoring I grew it up, expanding its size dramatically as it went from 2ft high to about 6ft. Floating up the burgers, sausages and steak I levitated it in an orbit around the fire, never too close to get burnt but close enough to feel the heat. I took only 10minutes before the burgers were ready, floating up some buns dad quickly got up coming back out the tent with sauces, cheese slices, onions and plates. Floating up a plate I placed 5 burgers into 5 buns onto 5 plates handing one to everybody before quickly floating over two slices of cheese and ketchup for myself and Jess. Leaving the adults to sort their own burger out, me and Jess started eating, my culinary skills rather basic but the outcome was delicious. For the rest of the night, we talked, my dad telling stories of his work, Bethany telling stories of her work whilst I sat their listening paying little attention and more focused on gazing into the fire, “Jamie” Mum said quickly and sharply getting my attention as everybody was watching me “huh” I said back looking at them before looking back at the fire. “You ok, you’ve been staring at the fire for a while now” she said watching me looking rather worriedly “I’m fine, I just find fire to be beautiful aren’t you the same with water” I asked seeing her smile and relax leaning back in the seat as Jess cuddled in closer to me, leaning her head on my shoulder her eyes watching the fire as well, trying to see what I saw. But to her it was just a fire, nothing more nothing less. “You would of made a good fire mage, you already have the hair to match” I said breaking my focus looking down at her bright red head seeing her chuckle “I am a little jealous of the things you can do with fire, I can’t make fire large fire animals like you, only small” she said creating a rabbit made out of water, making it hop around before jumping into the fire evaporating instantly. Heading to bed a short while later, we talked a bit whilst alone about school, lessons and our friends. I told her about green street trying to make it sound as good as I could knowing she hadn’t been there yet, we also talked a lot about what we were going to do tomorrow as Wednesday we were going to Bacra yet tomorrow we had nothing planned. “Why don’t we go explore, have a day to ourselves away from the parents, we could make some cool things” she said excitedly. “Sure thing” I said calmly getting a bit worried of our closeness and thinking back to dad’s advice about remaining friends. Thinking about what to do and how to act I drifted off to sleep the stars offering me no comfort tonight. Waking up in the next morning I walked into my parents tent grabbing my father’s arm teleporting us further into the forest “Argh, what are you playing at Jamie” he said being woken up by teleport which is never fun. “Why did you invite them here?” I asked quickly knowing we couldn’t stay long “Who, Bethany and Jess, I thought you liked them” he asked slightly confused by my actions. “I do, but I told you how I felt about Jess, I planned on seeing how it went with her on Wednesday and I still don’t know how I feel about Kathleen yet, I have decided summer isn’t worth it but while I’m trying to decide you go and invite them here for an entire week, and entire week of her attached to my side, even if I said nothing, after spending a week with me she will probably just presume were dating” I said franticly not knowing what to do, and hating myself for not being in control of the situation. “Look, I’m happy you chose against summer, she sounded like she was just getting to you for your fame. But Jess is a nice girl who is obvious infatuated with you, Kathleen seems like a nice girl but you are two opposite ends of the scale, Kathleen is rich, her father is in the council and her at the top of the hierarchy when it comes to authority. Jess is at the bottom, she just a normal girl, with a normal life and a normal love of you” he said firmly stating his case. “You know the powerful people usually end up under the council’s thumb at some point in their life, and once you’re under it there is no escape; dating Kathleen would only hasten that outcome, so I thought it would be best for you to date Jess. Granted her mum wants you to date for the wrong reasons, Jess herself really adores you, and I know you like her. Take my advice, you’re going to have hundreds of relationships in your life time, you’re not going to be with Jess for rest of your life unless you’re lucky. Chances are you will break up over some immature and pointless reason both of you will be too stubborn to apologise and you will move on, don’t take this the wrong way but I highly doubt you two will last your entire school years as a couple, the older you get the more women you’re going to attract, the older she gets and the more beautiful she becomes they more men she will attract, granted you’re in a league of your own in power, she may come to dislike your adult personality and break up with you, she doesn’t seem to be the girl who is bothered by power” Dad said giving me his speech “So your saying I should date her” I asked trying to understand his rambling “I’m not saying you should do anything, date who you like, I am saying that unless you find each other perfect your relationship isn’t going to last forever and it’s not like your first girlfriend is going to be your last” he said ending it there standing up straight whilst I nodded finally understanding what he meant. Teleporting we back into the tent I was surprised to find all the girls sat eating breakfast waiting for us to return. “Were do you two disappear off to then” mum asked whilst I sat down, “I needed some advice on this dance thing that’s happening soon at school, I have no idea on the formality or how they want me to dance” I said seeing her frown “Well I taught you to dance, so why didn’t you ask me” she said defensively slightly hurt that I went to dad and not her, the guilt piling up whilst my lie was just staggeringly bad and currently backfiring on me. “That was the side note, there were a few other personal things he asked me about, things he doesn’t really want to share with women, let alone his mother” dad said defending me whilst mum was clearly in a bit of a mood now. Digging into my breakfast I tried to break all eye contact with the women, my mum looking away anyway whilst Jess and Bethany were trying to figure out what I wanted help with, reading my facial expressions to give them clues. With breakfast finished with me and Jess quickly got dressed into some warmer clothes before leaving the camp, we walked for a few hours taming the animals and searching the area as after a while we had about a dozen animals following us through the forest. Finding a lake, I sat down on a log petting the deer laying by my feet as Jess was having a bit of fun moving the water around in the lake. “Hello young man” an elderly voice said as I quickly put a force field around Jess, her body too far away to hear me yell as I pinned her arms to her side stopping her wand movement as the water settled before the man behind me could see. Turning jess around she saw the man and the two women behind him as they all stroked the deer shocked at its passiveness, “How are you keeping him so calm?” he asked curiously watching me intently whilst Jess came and sat down next to me. “I have no idea” I said grinning lying to the man as I stroked the deer’s had which was resting on my lap. “Don’t lie to me son. But anyway it doesn’t really matter Lucifer has asked for your head and your head we will bring him” the man said firmly pulling a wand from his sleeve before casting spells at me. Shielding Jess I teleported us back to the camp, my Halo having absorb three of the spells that they cast. “What happened to you” Bethany said seeing my fear as we landing on the ground instead of our feet. “Mages attacked us, three of them” I said quickly panting as they noticed my halo. “Ok a few things first, where were you, who were they and what is that around your head” Mum said joining Bethany and dad outside as I said down removing the spells from my halo throwing them into the ground. “By the lake, I have no idea who they were but they looked elderly and dressed like hikers. And this is my halo enchantment I bought yesterday, can absorb five harmful spells, which comes in handy when your being ambushed” I said seeing my halo turn invisible and disappeared whilst I explained to them the story, Jess nodding as I went. “Do you know who sent them?” dad asked thinking smartly about it all “They said Lucifer and that he wanted my head” I said taking a few deep breathes to calm myself down. “Whose Lucifer?” Bethany asked “Just some mad man trying to recruit mages to join his army which will most likely try to overthrow the world” I said making it sound like a walk in a park causing them to giggle. Well it’s not safe here, I think it will be best to remain camping just move location” mum said making me smile as I created a force field around the campsite. “Great Idea mum” I said teleporting out camp in to the Amazon jungle, the girls looking around in surprise. “Next” Jess said grinning widely whilst I quickly teleported again into the polar ice caps. “Next” all three of them shouted the cold not yet penetrating my force field but their minds instantly made up about this place. “I know a good place” I said smiling before teleporting us into the Great Barrier Reef, landing on a small spit of sand miles off shore. “Where are we?” dad asked looking around seeing nothing but sea. “We are above the great barrier reef, if we had a air mage I would make our camp underwater” I said their smiles widening as we set up camp, my tree house looking a bit weird on the sandy beach. Taking all my belongings out I burnt the tree to a crisp before growing two palm trees and creating a large hammock hanging the middle, moving the tent to under the leaves it gave them a bit of shelter whilst it looked fairly good in my opinion. “Sorry that we couldn’t explore further” I said to Jess who was just smiling “Are you kidding, this is an even better place to explore, do you think you could take us to see the reef” Jess asked impatiently looking around hoping to see some dolphins or a whale. Placing my clothes inside the tent I came back outside to find Jess stripped down to her underwear running into the water as 3 dolphins were at the surface near her. Running in after her I stripped off my shoes trousers and top running into the sea in my underwear, quickly taming one of the dolphins I created a force field around mine and Jess head with a tube going up out the ocean surface into the sky. Being driven down by the dolphins I made the tube bendy and keep on growing as we went further down whilst still able to breathe normally. The sight we saw was fantastic, fish of every colour swam around the reef which too was a multitude of colours and life. Looking up I saw the feet over 3 people as I figured out my next move. “What’s your name?” I thought talking to the dolphin I was riding “Sam” he thought back to me surprising me that normality of his name related to our position. “Well Sam could you call 3 of your mates to give our parents a ride down here to see this beautiful world you live in” I asked nicely seeing him click and whilst underwater. In less than a few minutes we were surrounded by dolphins, although three came and dragged our parents down several more came to check us out, their curiosity being extremely adorable. Although I was unable to talk to Jess or our parents I asked Sam to give us a tour of the most beautiful spot in the reef were, holding onto his fin he dragged us around effortlessly, we passed loads of stunning sights, a few ship wrecks and even a great white shark. Taking us home I spotted a few fish as I tamed a few making them persuade the others that it was safe, the dolphins quickly took advantage of their slow state feasting on the school of fish as my reward to him for the tour. Swimming back up to the surface, the island looking like it was a nice place to relax on, sleeping bag originally used to keep warmed were lain out over the beach as our new beach towels, one small tent and hammock decorated the small spit of land with a circle of stone for the fire. Clambering up onto the beach I teleported back to my home picking up as many towels as I could from the airing cupboard before teleporting back, the time it took me was awesome, popped home to get some towels and got back before they were even out the sea. I threw them each a towel once they were on a beach our bodies drying rather quickly in the intense heat. Relaxing down on the beach we sunbathed for quite a while relaxing and looking out to sea. As the day dwindled down we all found that none of us were tired, probably due to the 12 hour time zone jump we just took, relaxing on the beach I tamed some fish to jump onto the beach. Floating them off the ground I quickly snapped their neck killing them before getting Jess to rinse them with clean water whilst I floated them in the air, just to get the dirt and sand off. Moving away from the camp I started pulling the fish apart, the two sides of meat floating away while I burnt the skin, organs and bones in a small but hot fire. “We can still smell it you know” Bethany said laughing out loud causing everybody else to laugh whilst I floated the first two into orbit around the large blaring fire. For the next 30minute I tore the meat from the fish having two sliced per fish and almost 20 fish, we had plenty of food. “I know just what this needs” mum said quickly getting up heading into the tent as only a few seconds later she reappeared with seasoning and pepper. I have no idea what fish they were but I know they tasted good, similar to salmon but that might have been the seasoning. Shrinking the fire down we all made our way to bed, I had put on a pair of shorts but my chest was still bare whilst Jess was wearing her pyjamas. Climbing into the hammock Jess quickly climbed in after me lying on her side, her head resting on my shoulder whilst I lay on my back looking at the stars which seemed so much brighter over here. Drifting off to sleep I listened to the crackling of fire whilst I stared into the stars, my eyes eventually getting heavy as sleep took over my body. The next day was going to be fun, getting up in the morning I quickly got dressed into some casual clothes before heading into the tent to grab some breakfast. Sitting down next to Jess she grinned at me watching me enter and sit down, “where are you two off today then?” Bethany said just a Jess took a mouthful of cereal so she could answer. “Bacra, were going to meet up with Becky and Rosie and spend the day being dragged around girly shops” I said hearing them laugh whilst Jess was trying to hold back her laugh due to a mouthful of food. “I have a question, I only gave you 800 septims but your enchantment bracelet is nearly full, where did you get them all from” mum asked firmly noting my bracelet which was visible due to my short sleeve top. “well you gave me 800 and everything in green street was rather cheap so I went to other shops to so how much some things were, anyway I wound up in a enchantment store where I realised they’re like 2000 septims each, but the shop owner just gave them to me if she said she could say that I was a friend and shopped there. Apparently I’m good for business” I said shrugging to them hearing them laugh “So she just gave you free enchantments” Jess asked looking green with envy “Yeah, although I think she expected me to go for the rubbish and joke like ones but instead I went for the powerful ones, and she couldn’t say no due to our deal” I said seeing them grin, “So what did you get?” Bethany asked with increasing interest as I pulled out my wrist to show them. “Fireproof which professor Krol got me, Fire Halo, Zen, Electrical mastery, Unchained Spirit and Unyielding weaponry” I said point out each enchantment as they looked shocked “Why did you pick those?” dad asked curiously looking at me “They sounded cool, there are probably better ones for me still in the shop but I literally flicked through the book picking out names that caught my eye” I said causing them all to burst out laughing. “Well, Fire Halo and Electrical Mastery are both very powerful enchants, Unyielding weaponry is rather useless unless you have a tendency to miss place your wand, and Unchained spirit will probably explain your recent burst in happiness” Dad said stunning me that he knew all about these enchants. “Yeah well, if you can think of a few better enchant I might go back and ask for them” I said grinning making him smile “Well don’t over-do it but check out an enchant called ‘Built’ the enchant effects your body, enhancing anything that happens, not many people know of it but if you can get it, you will live a happy life” he said all of us having no idea what it did. “So what does it do?” I asked looking at him whilst he chuckled “It enhances anything that happens, if you grow an inch it will add a bit more, if you grow some muscle it will add a bit more, if your increase your memory it will grow a bit more. Anything you do will be increased slightly, not but double but maybe about 15-20% which isn’t bad, so if you grow 2ft and reach 6ft then it will add another 6 or 7 inches for you, you won’t notice the change it will happened once a month on the first, everything you body has grown in the last month is calculated and a little bit more is added” he said grinning causing both women to smirk widely as I couldn’t wait to be big and strong. Leaving the tent with Jess, we teleported into bacra and more importantly into the great hall where Rosie and Becky were meant to meet us. Sitting down looking out over the crowds of people I saw both Rosie and Becky waving from the other side. “There they are” I said pointing them out to Jess before standing up and walking up a set of force field steps heading over the crowd of people. Floating up Rosie and Becky I placed them on my force field making it visible so they wouldn’t fall off. “Where are we going?” I asked taking the lead whilst walking backwards, looking at the girls who were grinning at me. “Clothes shopping” Rosie shouted from the back before pointing to the store she wanted. Lowering the force field down to the floor I created a circular force field around us, so that no one would barge into us and trample us. Watching people face plant the force field was actually rather amusing, but only before they deserved it for being so ignorant, arriving out the store I wanted to wait outside but I was quickly dragged inside by Rosie sitting myself down with a few dads whilst I spotted girls all around the store trying on clothes. “So what are you buying?” I said loudly so that the girls heard me splitting up and checking all the stands in the store “Don’t know yet” Becky said my eyes scanning the room watching them all congregate in the bra section. “I’m gunna be here all day” I said tilting my head back causing the man next to me to snigger before looking away. “You here with your daughter” I asked turning my head to him as he smiled “And wife” he said nodding looking forward as I turned and saw one of the girls from my year “I know her, she’s air class, she’s in my year at Harringtons” I said seeing him smile “Yes, my daughter is very strong, you came in with the Australian twins, Nancy has been telling us about them, how they work together to basically double their strength” he said whilst I nodded “Are you air?” I asked nicely looking at him shake his head “No her mother is, I myself am fire” he said proudly feeling authority from the more feared of the classes. “Same. Anyway, how long have you been here because I fear it’s going to be a while” I said causing him to laugh. “Your right, they have been checking out clothes all day and my brain is having a harder time dealing with it than my wallet” he said making me laugh. “Anyway, nice to meet you” I said shaking his hand before getting up and walking over to the girls who were still murmuring to themselves about sizes. “Daddy, do you know him?” Nancy asked spotting me and her dad talking before quickly running over once I had left “No dear, he just sat down next to me” the man said looking a bit confused “Did he say anything?” Nancy said grinning widely “Only that he recognised you from school” the dad said looking worried “That’s Jamie, Jamie Dovell he is the world’s strongest mage by loads, he has something like 50 spikes to 90minutes” Nancy said excitedly as both her father and mothers jaw dropped hearing that. “Can I ask why are we all staring at bras” I asked creeping up behind them making them jump “Because we need to buy some but the sizes are confusing” Becky said openly and confidently. “Well get yourself measured or something” I said calling over the sales girl who quickly took them into the changing room to get measured. Coming back out the room all the girls looked a bit embarrassed but smiling before searching the rails picking out the ones they liked in their sizes. With their clothes finally decided I was pushing the girls towards the tills, smiling at the father who just smirked at me still waiting for his family to decide. Quickly heading out the door I created the force field around us moving forward down the path before veering off heading into all the other girly stores. After spending jail time in about 4 different girl stores they finally had run out of hands to fit more bags. “Can you carry some of the bags for us please Jamie” Rosie asked politely surprising me that she recognised my presence, all three of them being too focused on clothes to hold a conversation. “I was wondering when you would ask” I said floating all the bags up out their hands keeping them in three piles while we walking through the city in my force field. Following the girls we turned into an alley which half way down had a line of pink and purple signs hanging from the wall, 1 Jewellery, 1 clothing, 1 hair salon and 1 beauty shop. This was basically a small high street just for women, following them into the hair salon they were instantly seated and worked on, whilst I sat in the waiting chairs, waiting. “These girls are going to be here a while, would you like us to do your hair while you wait for them?” a young girl asked, she must of only been 18 but she was very pretty and confident, “Sure why not” I said following her to a seat behind the girls as she got to work on my hair herself. “Are you their protection while they go shopping then?” the girl asked making me laugh “I suppose it’s one of my job descriptions along with bag carrier it now seems” I said loudly hearing the girls laugh behind me “Oh shush, strongest mage in the world, it’s about time we put you to some use” Becky said causing all the girls and the start to laugh loudly in an almost cackle fashion. “Strongest mage in the world huh” the girl said surprised by who I was and that she didn’t notice it. Trimming my hair down to a nice shorter length, the hair stylist starting moulding my hair with a bit of jel laced with magic for extra hold, finishing with a sort of cool surfer look I turned in my seat to see the girls who were in the midst of having their hair dyed. “You getting it died, now I will be here forever” I groaned hearing the girls giggle but trying to stifle their movements whilst the staff worked on their hair. Standing up I set fire to my body burning all the loose hair on my body before dispersing it, walking around normally looking around the salon and generally being nosy. Finding a vase of flowers I quickly took one of each coloured flower making loads of little objects picking up objects around the salon I quickly coated the mirror they used in the twigs wrapping it around the whole thing leaving the mirror part exposed as it looked pretty cool in the end. Finding an empty desk I place three heads of flowers down before making the twigs act like vines, covering everything except the mirror, it looked fairly jungle like and I thought it was a cool side piece even if they didn’t use it. The staff who weren’t working watching me diligently whilst I made object out of the flowers, handing them each a few objects I made I saw the girls finally get out from their chairs with their hair done. Jess had gone back to a Bright red her having started to fade after a while, although Rosie’s long hair was curly and died a light pink whilst Becky went a light purple. Surprisingly it looked awesome and I was very impressed with how they looked at the end. Walking back to the flower pot I picked up a red, white and pink flower, making three hair bands. Having the top of the hair band covered in large flower heads of that colour. I gave the red one to Jess the contrast in red’s looking awesome whilst I gave the white one to Becky and the Pink to Rosie. “Thank you” the girls said admiring their hair bands putting them in looking at them in the mirror “Before we carry on shopping can we get changed, I feel bad wearing these clothes knowing I have better” Rosie said confidently rushing over to her bag picking up some clothes out of her bags. “Ok fine whatever, it’s not like we have to be anywhere” I said moving the bags into three piles before creating a visible force field around them with enough room to enter. Watching each girl enter the force field I closed the gap then turned it so the force field became too dark to see through giving them some privacy. I was surprising how much energy it took to create an opaque force field, I figured it would take as little effort as it did to make it purely visible but no, this took a lot out of me. Hearing Rosie say she was down I removed the force field, her body and bags becoming open to us again. All the staff was standing there watching us and clapping when Rosie gave a little turn, her pink hair looking great down her cream short robe she bought. Next out was Jess who wore some of her new clothes, a nice pair of skinny jeans and a light coloured top, the contrast in the lightness of her top and the brightness of her hair making her hair seem brighter. Becky came out wearing a summer dress, the floral dress having two straps over her shoulders but stopping by her mid thighs, it looked good on her and standing here now I couldn’t help but admire all of them. “Ok you ready now, because I presume we going to al 4 shops here before I get the chance to go anywhere I want” I said seeing the all roll their eyes. “You’re a boy, isn’t your wand enough of a toy to satisfy you for life” Becky said jokingly mocking me slightly causing the girls to laugh. “Well at least I know where I stand now” I said joking smirking at her as we paid for our hair cuts before leaving. Moving onto the jewellery store, the girls were quickly darting around the store checking out every piece they had buying a few necklaces and rings, “How much have you spent today, because I would of ran out of money 5 store back” I said smiling at the girls who were quickly pulling out notes and coins from pockets and purses handing them to the staff. “I don’t know, mum just handed me a wad. Anyway why do you care, Mr oh look at me I’m the world’s strongest mage please give me free stuff” Jess said putting on a deeper voice making me laugh whilst causing the staff to fail to stifle a giggle “I didn’t ask for free stuff, she just gave it to me” I said defending myself which Rosie looked at me “What did you get, unlimited supply of Kilo Juice” she said naming a foul energy drink most café sold. “5 enchantments” I said correcting her as she rose and eyebrow at me. Purchasing a few ear rings and necklaces each they dropped them into their bags before walking out the store, with me following like a good puppy not bothering to create a force field while we were in this little alley way. Entering the clothes store the girls quickly looked around before leaving deciding it was too old for them, going into the last shop I looked through the window finding shelves of make-up, perfume and basically anything you would find in Boot’s back in the human cities. Watching the girls wander off as a team, I put the bags in a force field floating them up to the ceiling so people could still get into the store but couldn’t reach the bags, leaving them up there I went for a wander looking around the store. Ignoring all the make-up and hair stuff I found a few moisturisers as well as some things I thought I could buy the girls and more specifically Jess. Walking to the counter with a container of moisturiser for myself I quickly paid before standing their watching the girls who had basket loads of items. “I bet seeing girls in groups are good for business, they just sort of persuade each other to buy more” I said seeing the cashier grin and nod. “So which one is your girlfriend” she asked making me soon “The redhead, hopefully... but at the minute none” I said calmly seeing her smile “Well, behind you are our finest products, a collection of them and she will be yours for sure” the middle aged women said obviously trying to make a sale on me, “did that line sound as bad to you as it did to me” I said seeing her blush and nod before grinning whilst I turned looking at the shelves of fancy perfume and make-up. “Maybe it work on some man desperate for a girl, but for now I think I will stick with flirting” I said seeing her smile at me whilst I walked over to the girls who were basically going down the eyes picking everything that looked half decent. “So is this for you or the entire school” I asked seeing them pout not stopping their actions but still going along the isles. “We have to go back to school next week, we won’t get any shopping done over Christmas so our next shopping day will be in February so were stockpiling for winter” Becky said her logic actually making sense to me which was a first. “Fair enough, but why are you buying loads of different brands wouldn’t it be better to buy loads of the same brand” I asked seeing them laugh “Silly boy, this is our testing shop, we buy loads of different brands, whichever is our favourite we will stick with” Rosie said moving down the shelves whilst I looked at each brand making fun on them. “Delicious Brown, apply liberally for luscious chocolate brown hair” I said sarcastically before putting it back, “That makes no sense, chocolate has multiple colours, dark chocolate and milk chocolate are both brown” I said the girls laugh at me whilst continuing with their pillaging of the shelves. With two full baskets each the girls went back to the cashier who started tallying up the prices. Buy the end of it all they had spent almost 400 septims each on beauty products which was startling,I had no idea how anybody could buy so many things in one day, all their money they spent today would be more than me buying the 5 enchants I got for free. And they were nearly 4000 septims a piece. “Ok, where do you want to go now” Jess asked half knowing the answer whilst I grinned at the question “Enchantment store, there is an enchantment my dad told me about I would like to get” I said excitedly the girls rolling their eyes before following me out the alley way into the city. Creating a force field around ourselves and our bags I walked into to the oncoming masses, people hitting the force field and ranting at us whilst I casually walked through the crowds making my way through the busy streets to the enchantment store. “Welcome back Mr. Dovell, thanks to you business is booming but I’m afraid I cannot keep giving you free enchants she said whilst I smiled “How about a trade, one of the free ones for a different one I found out about which I would like” I said seeing her smile “I can do that for you sure, what’s the name of the enchant” she asked readying her ladder “It’s called ‘built’” I said confidently, stopping her in her tracks “and how do you know of that enchant” she asked sternly whilst I stood my ground “I told my dad of our deal and he mentioned it” I said seeing her sigh “Of course it was your dad, he could never keep his head down” she said moving around the shop climbing right up to the top shelf before bringing down a small wooden box. “A deal is a deal and I said ok, but this is a very powerful enchant, do not take it lightly. Your father used to work for me, he was fascinated with enchants back when he had just finished Harringtons, we received this enchant from a mage, who made it himself, we believe there to be only one object strong enough to hold this enchant, and of course you father went and got it putting the enchant into the object but before he could do anything with it I took it off him and hid it” she said explaining the story to me. “He eventually gave up, and it’s been kept hidden every since. But as a trade women I am bound by law to honour any deal made, and I must hand you this enchant” she said sighing sounding rather depressed about it. Pulling off my unyielding weaponry enchant I placed it on the desk whilst she opened up the box slowly, her body shining with a red glow originating from the box. Pulling out the large pendant it looked to be the size of a pen, long and thin and bright red. Watching the women place it on the desk I quickly picked it up holding it against my bracelet as it quickly moulded around the end, the entire bracelet growing down my arm until the entire long pendant was flush against my forearm in cased in the chrome. My bracelet looking more like a bracer now from medieval times, I felt no change putting it on whilst the girls and the shop women were expecting me to have some sort of magical experience. “Thank you, you can trust me when I say that this pendant won’t be removed from me until I die from old age, at that time I will give it back to your replacement or even their replacement with specific demand never to open the box” I said seeing her nod with a sigh whilst still being a bit worried about it all. Leaving the store the girls were happy and so was I, teleporting us all to the great hall, Rosie and Becky went home whilst I teleporting Jess and myself back to our island. “Were back” I shouted scared the two women who were sunbathing as dad quickly got out the tent to see me, “You were gone a while” He said chuckling noticing the red glow on my wrist. “Yeah the girls had to visit every shop and then get their hair done, but I got the enchant so it’s all good” I said following his vision which was staring at my wrist. “She told me the story about you working for her, but in all fairness if a weird mage gave me an enchant I would try and make it” I said seeing him smirk and smile before looking at my wrist, twisting my hand around I revealed my underside of my forearm to him watching him grin seeing the enchant he had worked so hard to make again. “I only gave up looking for it because I went out and found the mage who made it, he told me what it did and that’s when I realised it was useless to me, I was already fully grown so it wouldn’t work on me, but you, you are going to be awesome I just know it. Not even Esmey knows what it does, only that it’s really powerful which is evident by the glow” he said explaining his side of the story to me. Laying down on the towel next to Bethany I asked them about their day which she replied to nicely but both women were clearly more interested in asking Jess about her day and her hair. So I took a back seat, climbed into my hammock and drifted all to sleep. For the rest of the week we relaxed, sunbathing on the beach and coral reef diving, I didn’t go back to bacra, I was sick of shops and frankly I actually wanted to go back to school, it was fun there. Teacher was nice, there were hideouts to improve and things I could build and I could learn more which is what every mage wants, knowledge and power. As Sunday came, I teleported Bethany and Jess back to Bacra so they could get home whilst I teleported my parents back to the car which was still hidden in the bushes. Driving home, we all complained about how cold it was in England and that we really should go away more often, now that they know they don’t have to worry about flight costs. It was surprising how even after this whole week, all I had to show was a few enchants and some new shoes and robe, whilst I knew 3 girls who would be going back with a second suitcase. Monday couldn’t come fast enough and when it did I was gone, I said my goodbyes lovingly giving my parents a hug but I wanted to go back to school, to meet my friends and to learn more. Teleporting into Bacra I saw Rosie and Becky already there and as I suspected stood with two suitcases. “Hey you two” I said walking up to them having a tiny backpack for myself, which my new clothes were in. “Hey, when did you buy clothes” Rosie asked noticing the backpack making me chuckle “On Monday, I only bought a nice robe and some shoes, plus I have a smart robe for the dance” I said seeing them smile, “Anywhere, here she is” Becky said looking over my shoulder spotting the bright red head walk down the steps to join us “You know you two are really easy to spot in a crowd now” Jess said giggling knowing she was easier. “Good morning students, could you please all line up single file so we can proceed” Professor Fairheart said speaking out over the mass of students. “Sorry parents, but I’m too lazy to walk” I said shouting out aloud before putting a force field around all the students’ teleporting us directly into the courtyard of the school. “Well yes, thank you Mr. Dovell ok students inside please” she said quickly adjusting herself to the new plan as we all made our way inside. Teleporting to my room I dropped my bag down folding up my robes putting them neatly into my draws before teleporting into the main hall, into my seat. Looking around I saw all those who could teleport already do the same, the room quickly filling up with teleporters and then the students who couldn’t. Seeing Danny and Tommy walk in I quickly said Hi also greeting the girls who also sat around my table, including Summer who looking nice with her long blond hair. Once the hall was filled Headmaster Harris stood up walking over to the podium as he gave a boring speech about welcoming us back and a few slight rule changes, one of the changes being no use of love potions outside of class. “I bet nearly every person here has a love potion on them, from bacra” I said to Tommy hearing him chuckle and nod before looking around, seeing if we could spot anybody who looked inexplicitly in love. Leaning back I pulled Jess back with me who was giggling whilst we chatted for a bit “Don’t except any drinks from people, especially Brad, I’m not having you fall in love with him” I said firmly seeing her smile and nod before sitting up. Looking at my table Danny and Tommy just looked at me before laughing whilst Summer looked pretty annoyed. Looking at Tommy who was watching Summer’s reaction to me I just shrugged at him watching him chuckle before going back to eating the food being brought out by the chefs. With lunch passing rather uneventfully, we began our school day with our afternoon classes, whilst walking off to me Energy class; I was quickly caught up to by Summer. “Hey Jamie, how was your holiday?” she asked cheerily clearly in a better mood than before. “Good thanks, did a bit of shopping and took my parents on holiday, we spent the week on a spit of sand in the Great Barrier Reef” I replied proudly seeing her grin and nod. “How about you” I said just before the awkward silence set in, “Not much, just did a little shopping in Bacra and visited the family, as much as I love my mum, she can’t cook” she said giggling to herself making me smile, not at her joke but how cute she looked when giggling. Entering the classroom we quickly took our seats, as per usually Summer sat down right next to me which I guess I was used to by now. “Ok class, I hope you all had a good little break but now it’s time to study, were starting a new chapter and it’s a big one. So who can tell or better yet show me a visible force field – Stay quiet Jamie” he said firmly, adding in the last part rather quickly making me chuckle, my energy abilities exceeding that of a 4th year whilst it was only my 3rd month in school. The lesson was painfully boring for me, but our professor was a lively guy so he kept us all entertained and interested which made it just bearable. The lesson was quiet amusing for me, watching everybody scribble down notes as fast as they could whilst I just laid back practicing what he preached in my hands, making visible force field figurines as demonstrations for the professor. Once the lesson was over I teleported away, grabbing some food purely because I was bored. Next lesson was History and this was a perfect example of how to make a boring day worse, having to sit through history was incredibly dull, and it wasn’t because I didn’t care about our magical history but just because the people we were studying were so boring, I mean if it was an inventor or evil genius it would be more interesting than John Parks the mage who first created a robe (Woopty-freaking- doo). “Mark, Joe. Is everything ready?” Brad asked still raging after seeing me talk to Jess in the hall. “Yeah, it took a bit of effort but I got the curse, mongolian death curse, incurable even with magic” Mark said proudly handing Brad the scroll. “How on earth did you get it?” Brad asked curiously holding the scroll out learning the words and the movements “My cousin works for the council, hunting those that need to be arrested, they beg him to let them go and offer things as a bargain, rare curses, money even slaves. Obviously he takes the deal but then turns him in anyway keeping the deal on the down low so he doesn’t get caught” Mark said smirking at what he was saying. “He got that curse from some mage that killed a dozen humans” he said rather casually whilst Brad was planning my death out with careful detail. Teleporting to my hideout, I saw Professor Sowl relaxing on a hammock sleeping. Letting her sleep I studied for a few hours reading textbooks before teleporting to the main hall for dinner. Sitting down I quickly began to stack my plate up fairly high, floating drinks around me before teleporting myself and Jess back into the hideout, surprising jess with her sudden change of location. “Why are we here?” Jess asked curiously whilst I floated her plate onto the table whilst I put mine on the table as well, “Professor Sowl needs some Dinner, so do I and I thought you would like to join me” I said seeing her relax and grin as I duplicated the metal plate with a spell before moving half my food across. Placing it on the side near the professor I sat down with Jess so we could eat our dinner in peace “Were your lessons as boring as mine were?” I asked trying to make conversation making Jess smile, being the polite guy I listened intently while she ranted on about people being idiots and those in her class who could do cool things and various other ramblings which made perfect sense to her though less than none to me. “Anyway, do you know when this dance thing is going to happen?” I asked looking at her with a smile on my face as she blushed “18th of December, we have our Christmas holidays from that 22nd to the 5th” Jess said smiling almost knowingly whilst I smiled back being polite although confused by her look. “Ok, well I hope tomorrow will be more exciting than today” I said ending our conversation as although it seemed rude, I had planning to sort out. I knew I was taken Jess, so all I had to do was ask her in an awesome and overly dramatic way, and then ask her to be my girlfriend on the night of the dance, in yet another public and dramatic way. Teleporting us both back to the main hall I placed the plates on the table before teleporting Jess back outside her common room giving her a hug goodnight before vanishing from her sight, reappearing in my bedroom. I chatted with the guys for a bit talking about general boy nonsense and gossip, but it was only a hour or so later that I was in bed and sleep. Over the course of the week I planned my request to Jess with a lot of detail, it was now Thursday and lunch had just begun, as did my plan. Going into my Element lessons I was busy thinking through who I needed help from and what I needed, “Hey Danny, Tommy. Could you guys do me a huge favour” I said the smiling on their face going wide jumping to the correct conclusion. “I’m going to be doing my biggest performance to date and I need you there on fire control, if I look like I’m going to pass out, disperse as fast as you can” I said the grins getting ecstatically wide whilst nodding profusely. “Sure thing” Tommy replied quickly “Anything you need bud” Danny added as I quickly sat down in my seat thinking of who else to ask as I wanted to make this the biggest most dramatic thing in the history of the school if ever. Drifting through Element Class I quickly headed to the main hall to get a size for the thing planning it a head as I figured I would need to move the teachers table to the other side and practically block us into the hall, so it would be best to do this when everybody was inside. “Hey Jamie, I kinda know what’s happening but do you want to give me the details so I can tell Tommy” Danny said surprising me with her presence as he startled me from my planning day dreams. “Sure, I basically going to ask Jess to the dance, if you don’t mind I would like you and Tommy in these corners ready, I’m going to float all the tables even the teacher to the door to make it a proper performance” I said seeing him grin and nod “Have you thought about asking other people of other classes to help?” he offered not knowing I had in fact thought of that deeply. “Yeah but I decided against it, water would just evaporate, I don’t trust the earth people at the moment and air would just make it too dangerous” I said seeing him nod before continuing on. “So what are you thinking of doing” he asked making me smile knowing it was going to look awesome if I survived it. “I don’t want to ruin the surprise but it’s going to be a lot of fire, alot of healing as well as constant levitation of the tables and it will involve a fair few impossible looking tricks” I said making him giddy with excitement “Do you still have your sunglasses?” I asked as he nodded pulling from his robe having a pair always on him in case I did something big not wanting to miss it. Taking them off him I started duplicating them till I had nearly one for each place on the chairs, both student and teacher. Soon enough break was over as I was quickly heading back to my fire lessons with Danny I teleported us both in watching him relay the new information as both of them were laughing and grinning throughout the entire lesson. “Mr. Quarrel, care to explain why you’re so excited” Professor Krol asked expectantly causing Tommy to chuckle “Not really sir, it will ruin the show” he replied making Professor Krol smile before carrying on with the lesson. Learning about fire was rather dull especially since I couldn’t wait to do my big show at lunch, compared to the show I had planned; fire particles just didn’t seem interesting. Hearing the belly go for lunch I quickly grabbed Tommy and Danny teleporting them into the great hall as we quickly took our seats whilst I again told them where to stand and a brief non descriptive plan of my performance. Once I saw the last trails of people coming in for their lunch/breakfast I quickly got up a stood up on the main stage much to the bewilderment of the pupils. “Today, I will be performing something a little different and if I survive, it will be my largest performance to date” I said causing students and teachers alike to gasp and grin “So for your own safety I would recommend you wear the sunglasses on your tables” I said calmly, knowing everybody had found them as some people where already wearing them. “I also know that due to the size of my performance, the performance stage here will be to small so please remain seated” I said kneeling on floor of the main stage. Closing my eyes Danny and Tommy quickly got up and went to my sides knocking on the floor when they saw that people were wearing the glasses and we were ready to go. Tilting my head back and looking at the ceiling I flicked two fingers on both hands up causing all the tables to wobble slightly for emphasis before steadying and lifting into the air. Lifting up the four pupil tables I split them all in half making it 8 large tables in total as I stacked them 4 high in a ‘V’ shape at the corners of the hall opposite the main stage. Lifting up the teachers table they flew over my head spinning around before stopping at the base of the ‘V’ in front of the doors as the pupils sat floating above them watching me with their ever increasing excitement. Lifting up the hanging ceiling lights I removed all the fire pinning them in a force field to the ceiling so that the top row pupils had an unhindered view of my performance. Finally ready I tilted my head forward, my eyes still closed as they burst open in fit of flames, the flames soared about 3 feet above my head like my eye sockets were two powerful candles. The darkness of the fire created a shadow around my face giving me an almost deadly complexion, the student’s eyes watching me with wonder while I stared at them like some sort of possessed beast. Standing up my eyes sockets spouted towering flames as I created two fire beams going out of my eye sockets aiming directly towards the head teacher, the students and teachers all instinctively covering their faces at the oncoming fire beams whilst the fire hit the curved force field that I placed only a few meters in front of Headmaster Harris’s chair which sat directly in line of the fire beams. Once I could see that people were watching the fire realising it wasn’t going to hit them I stopped it, the beams disappearing as I now stood in the same spot looking at them, the emotion on my face hidden by my fiery eyes. Looking to the floor about a meter in front of Tommy on my left I fired my fire beams again creating two burning marks into the stone floor, my beams travelling from left to right as I turned my head. From the burning lines of fire I quickly merged them together creating one thick line before creating a dozen fearsome fire wolves from the thick blazing line, all of them snarling and dripping fiery drool from their mouths whilst they stood in the line preparing themselves to charge and pounce whilst never moving past that line. Going in for the big stuff now I created I giant snake making it burst out of the burning line coiling up behind me on the stage before opening its jaw wide diving for the wolves on my right turning instantly as it swallowed all of them up absorbing the fire and causing the snake to grow larger and consequently, brighter. Making it coil up on the stage I created what could only be described as a mass flock, like when you shoot a gun in a field and the hundreds of resting birds flew up. This was just like that except that it was a never ending storm of birds shooting out from the fiery line, the birds flying around making it impossible for my audience to see through, though after a brief 10seconds of mayhem the birds split into two sides, creating a gap in the middle for people to see me, the sight perfect for the Headmaster who sat directly in front of me who could only describe the sight as my parting the red sea, if it was made from a mass of fiery birds. Removing the birds from the room I made them fly behind me into the body of the coiled up snake as with every bird it absorbed it yet again grew bigger and more powerful. With the birds gone, I made the snake look angry, the eyes of my snake so detailed and defined that the mere sight of my snake seemed somewhat deadly. Making the huge fiery snake angry it snapped its jaws giving out a few mock lunges as if in threat before giving me a real lunge. His mouth open as his fangs were glaring out in the open, lifting my hand up the head of the snake quickly hit it trigging my absorption effect making it look like I was drawing in the power of the snake which I was. As my body absorbed the power of the snake I set my feet on fire, moving the fire up my body as I absorbed more of the snake in a somewhat attempt to look like an energy bar in video games, once I had absorbed the whole snake my body was completely on fire and it wasn’t even flush to my skin, this was Street Fighter style flames surrounding my body. Creating three more snakes from the thick burning line before my feet they slithered around the floor before lunging at me, their mouths clamping down on my spare arm, my leg and my side as whilst completely painless for me I made it look agonizing. The tails of the snakes not even emerging from the fiery line yet as I absorbed the entirety of the first snakes power before taking in all the power from these two never ending snakes, going for a bit more of a show I dropped my body down onto one knee, trying to give the illusion of struggle which I was starting too, any other fire mage would have died at the bird part but I was still going. Spouting two more snakes out, larger than the first I faked a bit of effort getting back to my feet, as now I had 5 snakes being absorbed by my body. With my flaming eyes growing larger I made them start to get whiter and whiter, after a minute or so of this I added in my healing aura, my body glowing brighter and brighter as people who weren’t wearing the glasses found they had to wear them just to keep on watching. With the end of the snakes finally appearing I absorbed the last of their bodies before looking at the crowd of students and teachers, my body too bright to even determine that there was a body in the ball of bright fiery light. Taking a few steps back I moved into the middle of the large stage exactly where the headmasters chair sat before as I clapped my hands, nobody making a sound causing my clap to thunder and echo through the hall, slowly taking away my aura people back to see me again although my general shape was hidden by the mass of fire people could make out my face and hands when they moved. Clutching my side I dropped down onto my hands and knees everybody gasping concerned for my safety whilst I quickly raised a hand up telling Tommy and Danny to stop, the heat of the fire was intense, even for my fire proof body the heat of all the snakes inside me was nearing on the burning sun power I felt during status. Grabbing my side and howling out in pain I knelt on my knees ... Casting my hands wide to the sides and staring up at the ceiling I roared loudly fire spewing from my hands, mouth and eyes coating the back wall in a mass of fiery swirls, none of them going past the main stage these large swirls of fire quickly turning into a giant fiery wall, blocking any light coming in from the glass windows behind me. Bending forward resting on my hands and knees again I sprouted about 30 fiery chains from my arms and back which looked to grab hold of the ceiling and walls whilst I levitated myself up into the air, my body now hanging from two force field poles under my arms, my head and body hanging limp so it looked like I was really being hung up by the chains. With my body looking like I was hanging limply by the chains I created about a dozen fiery snakes to emerge from the fiery line, my audiences faces showing exactly what I wanted being ‘shock’. These new snakes were still emerging as they over lapped each other making their way towards my audience as the moment they looked like they were about to strike I spat a fireball from my mouth. It looked like a prisoners attempt to get at those who had beaten him, a simple spit showing the audience my lack of fear as my actions caused the snakes to turn and face me, once one snake turned away from my audience they all did, making their way up to me before lunging at the easy target. Absorbing all their bodies in about a minute I was actually starting to struggle with the heat inside me, the controlling the fire I found easy but at this level it was the high intensity of the fires within me I was having trouble with. With the snakes inside me it made it look like I couldn’t contain them, a snake head emerging from my chest before turning and going back into me through my back. Looking up slightly at my captive audience I saw them watching me with awe yet concern thinking I was actually in danger. Creating one more thing I had to absorb, I realised that at this point it would actually be a test of my strength this last task actually having the power to kill me if I can’t keep it under control. Making the fiery line raise up I made it stretch in places like something large was trying to escape. And that was exactly what I was going for, creating three large fiery tornados from the no longer linier fiery line I had them all pour themselves into my body they heat being something that was actually starting to become unbearable. Screaming out in pain Tommy and Danny were quickly trying to disperse as much fire as they could whilst I decided it was now or never... going hard on myself I created a huge fiery hand try and burst its way out of the fiery line, only getting about up to the wrist into the room Tommy was quickly shouting for help as all fire elementals were quickly climbing down the floating tables trying to help disperse my flames which I knew were becoming uncontrollable. Going in for the dramatic part I summoned all power I had left making the giant hand releasing a hyper powered fire beam from the palm of the hand aiming straight for my screaming body. The beam itself being absorbed by my body but was so wide that it engulfed my body blasting out the windows behind me and hitting the protective force field behind, spreading out far covering the entire force field that was visible through the now shattered glass windows. With the massive beam of light so bright and powerful, people were shielding their eyes trying to protect themselves from it even though they were behind it. I knew people presumed the worst but I also knew they were going to expect me to fight so that’s what I did growing my body flame bigger and bigger I created a second huge hand pushing the first back into the fiery line. The hands refusing to be pushed back but eventually being defeated, with people dispersing the line instantly they were trying to remove the flames around me, but it wasn’t working, my power was too great for any of them to disperse enough to do anything productive. “There’s too much, I can’t hold it in..... GET BACK!!!” I roared seeing people quickly try and create force fields whilst I created several of the thickest force fields I could make, expelling all the fire in my body I looked to make sure everybody was safe, I had Tommy and Danny pinned in some of my force fields whilst I had my force fields stopping people from helping me, the barriers too thick to get through as I could see Jess in tears banging on the force field whilst a few of her friends were holding her back. Exploding in a burst of fire the entire room was engulfed in flames, unending and unrelenting flames. I used all my energy to push out all the fire I had stored up. Knowing everybody was safe I went hard, expelling everything going so far that I was feeling weaker and weaker as the seconds went by. Soon it was too much to handle and I knew I was pass out soon, doing my biggest disperse to date, with the last of my energy I dispersed all the flames in the room as well as my force fields before passing out, my body no longer able to keep myself levitated as I dropped 30ft to the floor crashing into the floor as I also dropped the tables onto each other, nobody on them now anyway which was good. Rushing over to my body, Jess was sobbing and crying trying to shake me awake whilst people quickly crowded me trying to check if I was ok. It was only a few moments until one of students looked through the broken window at the fire still burning on the large force field surrounding the grounds. The fire doing exactly what I hoped and creating images of my subconscious, “Look, the fire” a kid shouted as everybody turned to look watching the fiery picture as I it played all my memories including the day I first met Jess, showing loads of happy times as it went into my future, showing me and Jess dancing with happy faces before showing us holding hands walking down a corridor. The picture faded and the next imaged played as it was me and Jess sharing a very gently looking and loving kiss. With the fire having no power source behind me it was starting to break apart and fade whilst my subconscious played on it, though once the fire had totally disappeared people were just left there standing around whilst I was unconscious on the floor. “Jamie... Jamie wake up” Jess shouted holding my body having watching the images and crying profusely which was enough to snap everybody back into reality. “Let’s get him to the nurse” Headmaster Harris said as he quickly picked me up teleporting me into the nurses office placing me on a bed to rest. Waking up, I noticed I was in the healing ward of the school, looking around I saw I was alone. “Ugh” I grunted to myself trying to sit up but my body betraying me as I could barely move “Get back into that bed mister” she said as I ignored her looking down at my body seeing myself in my uniform as I summoned all the energy I could teleporting out of the room. Landing in the main hall I found it empty as I saw the damage I had caused, the window smashed to pieces whilst the floor was a mass of burn marks from shield marks and the burning line. Teleporting away I checked the clock realising it was before lunch as I teleported directly into Jess class making them all jump, my body falling down onto my knees as I was running on fumes. “Jamie” Jess screamed running towards me hugging me so hard that she knocked me down onto the ground “Did it work” I asked rolling onto my back as she knelt beside me “My subconscious fire control, did it work” I said trying to hold back my passing out which I knew would happen the second I stopped focusing “Yeah it worked” she said letting out a slight chuckle while crying “Did you see” I said again looking up at her as she grinned nodding making me smile “Good” I said relaxing on the floor my body instantly passing out sending Jess into panic “Jamie” she screamed whilst the nurse and Headmaster Harris quickly arrived presuming this was where I would go. Teleporting me back to the healing ward, I remained unconscious and stayed that way. |
