Karen quietly came into Ann’s room. Ann looked so peaceful sleeping but Karen and Chris had planned a really big day for Ann. Karen nudged Ann to wake her. “Ann, sweetheart it’s time to wake up. We have a big day ahead of us.” Ann stirred slowly, waking up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. “Did you sleep well sweetie?” she asked Ann. Ann blinked up at her and stretched. “Yes mommy thank you.” She replied groggily as she was trying to wake. She was still not quite awake yet. Her mommy must have put her in a diaper and so Karen had to check her to see if she was wet and she was. “Mommy, Why are we up so early?” Ann asked yawning. Karen smiled, thinking how cute she looked. “We have a very big day ahead of us that daddy and I think you will like very much.” Ann reached her arms up to her mommy and Karen gently picked her up and held her close giving her a hug and a kiss on her cheek. Ann hugged her mommy in response. Karen then carried Ann into the bathroom to prepare Ann’s bath. She still held Ann in her arms as the bath water filled the tub. By the time the tub was filled enough, Ann had finished waking up. Her mommy then placed her in the tub with some bubble bath and toys for Ann to play with. The warm water felt amazing so early in the morning. Karen helped her bathe and when she was finished; her mommy lifted her out of the tub and dried her off while the tub was draining. Chris was in the kitchen making breakfast, and the aroma from it smelled so good to Ann it made her stomach growl in anticipation. Karen wrapped Ann in the towel and carried her back into Ann’s bedroom to get Ann dressed for the day. Ann clutched the towel. “Mommy, where are we going?” Karen was finishing drying Ann more thoroughly. “Do you remember what today is sweetheart?” She asked moving some of Ann’s hair from her eyes. She put her thumb in her mouth to think. It helped her think and she often did it back on earth because it helped keep her calm and helped her think but she was always afraid what others would think of her but since Karen and Chris became her new mommy and daddy, she knew they wouldn’t care. Then is occurred to her and she smiled. “Yes, I remember now. It’s Sarah’s birthday!” This made Ann happy. Karen smiled at Ann and kissed Ann’s nose. “Yes, that’s right, but we have so much more to do today.” Ann was smiling but this confused her and made her curious. “We do? What else do we have to do mommy?” “Well before Sarah’s party, daddy and I thought that we would take you and Sarah and her mommy to the planetarium as a part of Sarah’s party.” She was kneeling in front of Ann. Ann looked confused. “What’s a plan plan u trium?” Karen smiled. “Well it’s a place that will help explain our planet to you better. It will show you where our planet is and how it was made. Sarah and her mommy will join us there.” Ann Smiled real big. “Yeah” She was so happy that she could spend the day with her bestest friend Sarah. “I love you and daddy, Mommy.” Karen smiled and kissed Ann’s forehead. “We love you too sweetheart but we still need to get you dressed.” Ann sat down on the ground and played with some blocks while Karen got Ann’s clothes ready. Karen got out the new pink party dress that she and Becky had bought complete with a crinoline, ruffle butt tights, and a pair of pink Mary Jane shoes. Ann heard the rustling of the dress and looked up from where she was playing with the blocks. Her eyes got real wide when she saw the dress. “OH! Mommy that dress is so beautiful!” Karen smiled. “I am so glad that you love it. Sarah’s mom and me got it for you when I noticed how much you liked Sarah’s dress was. I saw you looking at hers a lot.” Karen had also brought over a diaper and training pants. She kneeled in front of Ann. “So which would you prefer sweetheart? The diaper or the training pants?” She held them up for Ann. They both had really cute prints on them and that also made it hard to choose. She also knew that Karen did like changing her diaper and she really loves her mommy so Ann pointed to the diaper. Then her mommy laid out a cute hello kitty diaper changing mat for her to lie on and she did. “I really don’t mind diapers so much mommy, I love you and I want to make you happy.” Ann said smiling. While her mommy diapered her she spoke. “Aw you are a sweetheart but all me and daddy want is to make you happy sweetheart.” Ann returned the smile and blushed as she was being diapered. Once she was diapered, her mommy then proceeded to dress Ann. She put on her tights, then her petticoat crinoline which was a pullover one and was very cozy. She then put her pretty dress on her as well and tied the sash in the back into a pretty big bow. Then she put the pink Mary Jane’s on Ann’s feet, giving the bottom of her feet a little tickle making Ann giggle. Her mommy then brushed her hair and put her hair into pretty pigtails with pink ribbons. Ann look so pretty that Karen just had to show Ann so she picked her up and carried her over to the full length mirror and sat her down on her feet so she could have a look at herself. At first Ann could not believe it was herself that she saw in the mirror. She touched herself and the dress and she knew it was real and she was the one wearing the dress. Ann thought she looked so beautiful in the pink dress that she started to cry, trying to hold back the tears. Karen saw the tears and got worried and asked Ann. “What’s wrong baby girl?” She was caressing Ann’s back. Ann looked at her in the mirror then turned around and looked up at Karen, her eyes filled with tears. “It’s just that I have never looked this pretty my whole life.” Karen smiled and kneeled in front of Ann and pulled her into her arms. “Aw sweetheart, you are a beautiful girl and always will be. Daddy and I love you so very much Ann.” She kissed the top of her head. “And we want nothing less than the best for our little girl.” Karen then gently made Ann look up at her, placing her hands on Ann’s cheeks. Ann sniffed and looked up at Karen with eyes full of love. “My sweetheart.” Then she kissed her forehead. Ann blushed. “I love you too mommy.” Karen then sat Ann on her feet again and smiled. “Now let’s go downstairs and show off to daddy.” She gently patted Ann’s nose with her finger. Ann nodded and blushed. She then took her mommy’s hand as they went downstairs to the dining room where daddy was waiting. Chris looked up from where he sat. “Well good morning ladies!” Ann blushed as Karen sat Ann down on her feet for she had to help her down the stairs. Her daddy walked over to Ann and looked at her smiling. “My, my You look so pretty Ann.” Ann blushed and did a little curtsy. “Thank you, daddy.” He smiled. “And such a little lady too!” He winked at her and picked her up and placed her in her high chair and put her Hello Kitty bib on her. Breakfast was so yummy, and daddy is such a good cook. They had scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and toast, and a glass of milk and orange juice; it tasted so good that Ann drank all of her juice. When they finished eating, mommy loaded the dishwasher while daddy loaded the car with Ann’s stroller and diaper bag. Meanwhile Ann was in the living room twirling and admiring her dress that she made herself dizzy and started giggling. Daddy came back from loading the car and noticed Ann giggling and twirling, he smiled and laughed. He also noticed that something was missing. “Would you like to wear your locket with your pretty dress sweetheart?” Ann’s eyes got wide and she got excited. “Can I please daddy!?” He touched the top of Ann’s head and rubbed his thumb on her cheek, smiling. “Of course you can sweetheart, you can wear it anytime you like.” It made Ann blush. Karen had come into the living room and Ann ran up to her mommy. “Mommy, would you please go upstairs to get my locket for me?” Karen nodded and went upstairs and brought the locket back and put it on Ann for her. Then Chris picked up Ann. Karen Asked Ann. “What would you like to take with you for the ride Ann? Ann thought for a moment. “I would like my dolly that I got and maybe my book with all those stories in it.” Ann put her thumb in her mouth and leaned her head on her daddy’s chest. It helped her to think. She then remembered something very important. “Oh! The big fluffy dog I won for Sarah! I almost forgot that!” Karen smiled and nodded and got the items and came downstairs. Ann and Chris were already outside. Christ placed Ann in her car seat and buckled her in. Karen gave Ann her doll, which Ann hugged tightly and then her book. She also put her sippy cup in the seat next to her where she could reach it as well as one of her blankets. Chris was already behind the wheel and Karen got in the passenger’s side. The trip was going to be about an hour ride across the city. It was a warm sunny day. As the entered the city, Ann started to get a little nervous about the big trucks and cars that was passing them by. They had stopped at a red light and Ann was looking up into one of the big trucks that were stopped next to them. She could see a man inside the truck, and he happened to look down at Ann through the window. Ann blushed and would have looked away but she was very fascinated at the sheer size of him. He smiled at her and gave her a little wave. Ann’s blush deepened and she smiled and waved back. They were moving again and the city was so huge and seemed to go on forever. Ann got her story book and started to read to get her mind off the traffic and the city. When they arrived at the planetarium, Becky and her daughter Sarah were already there waiting in their car. Ann was so excited that she would get to see her best friend Sarah again. Chris got out and unloaded the car while Karen let Ann out of her car seat. Meanwhile Becky was getting Sarah out of her car seat as well. As soon as Ann was on her feet, she ran over to Sarah and gave her a big hug. They stepped back from one another and Ann exclaimed. “You’re dressed exactly like me!” Then she looked puzzled. Becky and Karen saw the funny expression on Ann’s face and began to chuckle. Sarah smiled. “My mommy and your mommy knew how much you liked my dress the first time we met so our mommies bought us a dress at the same time so that we could match!” They hugged again, and then Ann remembered the big fluffy stuffed dog that she had won at the amusement park for Sarah. She went over to Karen and looked up at her. “Mommy can I give Sarah her present now please?” Ann then went back over to Sarah. “I got you a present for your birthday.” Sarah got excited to see what it was now for her and Ann were bestest friends. Ann and Sarah went over to the car with Karen to get the stuffed dog. Sarah shyly held out her hands in anticipation. When Ann pulled out the doggie and handed it to Sarah, her eyes widened really big and she was so excited that she started to cry. Trying to hold back the tears, she said in a trembling voice. “It is so beautiful and so soft and fluffy I will always keep it with me and take it anywhere I go. I have never had a fluffy dog before. Thank you Ann!” Then Sarah gave Ann a big hug and a kiss on her cheek, making Ann blush. “You’re very welcome!” Ann said with a smile. Becky, Karen and Chris all agreed at how cute Sarah and Ann looked together, all happy and laughing. They all then went over to the planetarium. Ann carried her doll in one hand that other was holding Sarah’s hand while Sarah carried her stuffed dog. As they walked Sarah looked at Ann. “I have been here for a while but I have never been here before.” Ann nodded. “How long have you been here Sarah?” Sarah smiled. “I have been here about a year and a half. This is my second birthday here. I was here for a half a year and had my last birthday.” Ann looked as though she was thinking. “Oh and all this time, you have never been here?” Sarah shook her head. “No, I was never really ready for it but since you’re here Ann, I can do it now.” She smiled and gave Ann’s hand a slight squeeze. It was a good little walk to the planetarium but once they were inside, Ann was amazed and in awe at all that she saw. She stared at a model of the solar system in action that was in the main lobby. Karen was standing next to her and Ann asked with a puzzled look. “Look mommy, what is this thing?” And she pointed at the display. “That’s our solar system sweetie.” She said, wanting to explain the best she could. Chris added. “That is why we are here, to help you understand where we came from and what we are.” Ann nodded. “Okay.” She continued to watch the display as if entranced by it. Chris went over and got the tickets for the show for everyone. He came back over to them. “Well it’s time to see the show, we were right on time.” They then walked over to the entrance and handed the tickets to the attendant. The attendant looked at Ann and Sarah and smiled. “My, what pretty little girls you have!” Ann and Sarah both blushed and did a little curtsy. “Thank you” They said shyly in Unisom. They both giggled. Karen, Becky and Chris thanked her and they all went inside and it looked like a giant dome with a lot of seats that5 reclined to look at the ceiling. In the middle of the room was a huge ball that was on a pole with another ball that was at the other end of the pole. It had a fence around it and an attendant was standing next to it. “Daddy, what is that thing?” Ann asked. Chris really didn’t know himself so he looked over at the attendant for some help. The Attendant got the hint and explained to them as simple as possible so as not confuse the girls. “This is laser cannon. It is like a giant flashlight and the ball spins around on the pole at the same time it puts pictures on ceiling.” Ann looked thoughtful. “So that’s why the seats recline?” The attendant smiled. “Yes that is correct.” Ann smiled and then they all took a seat. They decided to sit near the center of the theatre. Becky, then Sarah, Ann, Karen and Chris were their seating order. The lights then began to dim for the show to begin. Ann looked at Sarah and could tell she was nervous and she took Karen’s hand. Ann felt nervous herself so she took her mommy’s hand as well. When the room was totally dark, Ann scooted closer to her mommy as much as she could. The laser cannon started to hum and then there were pretty lights dancing around on the ceiling that made some cool designs. Then they stopped and there were only colored dots on the ceiling, and all of a sudden the dots exploded into the stars and moons with planets scattered about like the display Ann had seen in the lobby. Only this was like looking at the stars one sees it night. Then the colored dots came back and started making Spaceships of all different kinds that were flying around the room. They also played some music in the background and it sounded like strange space music. The next thing they knew, they were in a space ship heading for a planet in the far distance. They flew by some planets and then went into a dark hole in the stars. When the spaceship came out of the dark hole there were more stars and planets only they looked different than before. The ship was starting was starting to get close to a planet and the closer it got, it looked a lot like earth only green. The closer we got the more things we could see on the planet. When they seemed to get close it looked like they were looking out a window of an airplane. The ship then landed and there were buildings all around and plants, trees and people. Then when they got out of the spaceship, they were in what looked like a laboratory with a bunch of machines and science stuff. This part terrified Ann even though she knew she shouldn’t be and that it wasn’t real but the images seemed so real to her. She grabbed her Mommy tightly and Karen sensed this and pulled Ann into her lap. She held her In her arms and comforted her, reminding her that it wasn’t real and only like a movie. Ann glanced at Sarah and she had done the same. Since both girls were in their mommy’s laps, Becky moved into the seat next to Karen and she whispered to her. “I don’t think Ann and Sarah were quite ready for this.” Chris nodded in agreement and rubbed Ann’s back gently. They still tried to comfort Ann and Sarah as the watched the show. Ann listened intently as The lab technician was explaining how the planet was formed and that the air and water had an extra compound that made the planet life live longer than that of earth, and that where the planet in their solar system was farther than earth would be in our solar system, although the planet was ten times bigger than earth and ten times farther from their sun making the planet go slower therefore life evolves much slower as opposed to earth. They explained how the farther you are away from the sun the slower things move that’s why one of their years equals ten earth years. Their solar system was formed one hundred light years before earth’s solar system, which is why they are far more advanced than Earth. Sara and Ann had fallen asleep while being held and buried into their mothers chests. Ann and Sarah both had their thumbs in their mouths. Karen woke Ann and Karen woke Sara from their sleep. Ann and Sara both still had their thumbs in their mouths. “It’s okay Ann.” Karen said to Ann and Sara. “The shows over we can go now it will be ok.” Karen and Becky then carried the girls out to the parking lot. Once outside, they start waking up more from their sleep. It was warm and sunny outside. By this time it was past lunch time, and my tummy was growling and she was wet. “Mommy, I’m hungry, and I’m wet.” Mommy and Becky took the girls to the restroom to get changed. After Ann was changed she felt better. Then they went to a fancy restaurant that Chris spotted across the parking lot. It was a retro 1950s restaurant. The waitresses were dressed in poodle skirts and on roller skates. Sara and Ann had chicken fingers and fries with milk. After lunch they went back to where their cars were and loaded up for the trip home Becky and Sarah followed us in their car to my house. Sarah and I took a nap when they got to Ann’s house. |
