Where Are They Now? To my readers: I thought I would write this little non-sexual piece to let you know what happens to the characters from my series, and also as a groundwork for some future stories. ********** I thought perhaps some of you would be interested in what became of me, Bobby, Karen and Sarah. Myself Well, I did make valedictorian. Sometime I will have to tell you the story about what I wore under my cap and gown on that graduation day. I got a full scholarship to a very prestigious, Catholic, mid-western university. It was just far enough from home that I wasn't completely isolated, while being far enough that I had a certain degree of privacy and independence. I majored in Bio-chemistry but, although it's getting a little ahead, I don't work in that field. My first two years I was a little lonely and a little bored but, as you will see, after that I had plenty of company. Bobby With Karen and me (mostly me) helping, Bobby did get his grades up enough to play football his junior and senior years at Sacred Heart. He actually did it mostly on his own. Like I said in part one of my story, he really was smart, all he needed was motivation and after the night our parents got stuck at Grandma's house, me and Karen provided him with plenty of that. Bobby turned out to be a pretty good football player. Good enough in fact, to win a partial athletic scholarship to the very same university I was at. Mom and dad and some financial aid covered the difference and this time I didn't try to talk them out of it. I wanted Bobby with me. So after spending two years in dorms, I found a house we could rent and live off-campus. Bobby majored, believe it or not, in Classical Language, minored in Education, and taught briefly in a local high school while also coaching the school's wide receivers. He wasn't quite good enough to interest the pros, but he continued his photography and started working as a freelance photographer while still in school. Now he runs his own photography studio where I work as business manager. Sarah Like I said, Sarah was probably the best athlete at Sacred Heart High School, maybe ever. She also won an athletic scholarship, only hers was a full scholarship. She moved in with Bobby and me and majored in English and Education, while starring in volleyball, basketball, softball and lacrosse. After graduation she played professional soccer for a couple of years, even though she never played it at the university. There isn't a lot of money in pro soccer, so Sarah also started teaching at the same high school as Bobby. She's still there, teaching English, Phys ed, and coaching almost every girl's sport while also coaching the boys receivers after Bobby left. She still plays amateur softball and rugby. Karen Karen didn't get any kind of scholarship so after high school she started working in the kitchen of a nursing home while attending community college part time. She finished about a year of school by the time Bobby and Sarah graduated from Sacred Heart, and came with them to move in with us. we kept her in school and after another year of community college, got her enrolled in the university where she will graduate next year. She kind of acts as our housekeeper and we are talking about her maybe having Bobby's baby after she graduates. Our Family When I graduated from the university we decided to find a bigger, nicer place to live and moved into an apartment complex a little bit outside the university town. About that time, we noticed that a lot of people just assumed that since we had the same last name, Bobby and I were husband and wife, and we've never done anything to dispel that notion. We all live as one big family. Sarah, although you might think as a female athlete she might have some lesbian tendencies, is, except for Bobby, the straightest of us all. She will play with me and Karen a little bit, but mostly she pairs up with Bobby. Karen I think does prefer me over Bobby but, like me, she can go either way. The three of us girls keep Bobby pretty busy but I think he does a pretty good job of keeping us all satisfied. Mostly we all get along well although there are occasional disagreements and even fights. Although there isn't much in the way of jealousy, I really do think Bobby loves me best. With him and Karen I think it's mostly just sex but I do think he loves Sarah enough to marry her, if it were not for me. Karen obviously had been with other guys before Bobby, and Sarah I know fooled around with other guys on the touch football team but as for me, the only guy I have ever been with is Bobby. I think most of our friends, who think of Bobby and me as being married, also have the idea that there is a sexual relationship among all four of us. As for my mom and dad, I don't think they suspect. Mom still asks Sarah when she and Bobby are getting married and I think she MIGHT have an inkling that there is something between Karen and me, but she avoids any comments about it to me. My sister Pauline came to spend a couple of weeks wth us last summer to kind of check out the university and I'm pretty sure she figured things out. |
