Second - I do not believe wanting to put food in my family's mouths and a roof over their heads is selfish. If it is then maybe you should give your pension to charity and live on the street. |

While I agree. I also understand why it was done that way. The reason is to get the publisher name out there. Once the publisher is known then the artists' names will become more prevalent.
I argue that it needs to be rearranged so the publisher is at the top of the cover. The book name in the middle. And the artist at the bottom. |

During the cryogenic freezing process, Mighty Mouse was just learning to astral project. She was caught with her mind outside of her body. The increased mental energy kept the process from being completed correctly. Even though the brain was frozen, the synapses were locked firing because most of them were closed. They are frozen in the peak of activity. Think of a press being shut off while it is at maximum pressure. The pressure does not just go away it is all still there. It does not increase or decrease.
This left her with the mental facilities of a child, locked in her astral form -- for 325 years.
For most of that time she was alone.

I accept your opinion but will try and explain the rule as best I can.
The rule is in place to try and forestall what is called cabin fever. There are only 100 people on the ship and they are going to be the only human contact they have for 20 years. People are not normally forced to go deep. this crew was put together by a vengful admiral. If a couple cannot live with the rule they just don't apply to go deep.
Constant and varied interaction is needed to keep people from going crazy in a cabin fever situation. But forcing someone to do something that is repugnant to their personality has just the opposite effect. Most people are not repulsed by having sex, many are by the thought of having it with the same gender. The freedom of interaction the rule allows makes the crew tighter knit. Hence the joke later in the story when the captain tells Jazz Hands he has not had relief and is looking for his wife.

This story is complete. When I write more of this line it will be separate stories. That is why they are called episodes instead of chapters. Each one is an individual complete story. These stories are written specifically for this site. I do intend to write other episodes, this story was fun to write.

I have been offered a book deal for this story and am going to ask for all but the first two chapters to be deleted. The story is going to made into four books and will be available in E-book and Paperback form.

Yes I am writing more to this one I am trying to get chapter twelve up tonight and will continue this story out to chapter twenty.

I wanted to comment and let everyone know I am writing chapter 10.
My boss at work thinks 12 hour days are more important than art. The ad an hour and half drive one way to work and then again back home. This leaves Brootforce a very tired troll.

I am not sure if I mentioned another story in the tent I did mention that he expanded the roof up.
As for the story yes I have every intention of taking this one to the end and have other stories in mind. My current outline for this story has 20 chapters to it.
I was worried that the beginning would be a bit slow and am glad people are enjoying the story.
Tonight I am trying to finish chapter 8, I have had trouble getting around a time crunch. |

The softcore words have more to do with the mindset than the explicit nature of the sex. In the time frame of swords and sorcery, words like Cunt, Cock, fuck and such were not commonly known or used. I feel that those words would destroy the mood of the story. If I am wrong time will tell and I will change the style a little. I am fully versed in hardcore language and stories of a more time will have it well used. Admitedly Rhys would think in those terms in the beginning but I felt it would confuse the story too much to switch down later. Also Rhys is a bit of a romantic at heart.
As for Likka, alas she is Rhys' oldest companion and has loved him since childhood. More on that later. Their relationship started as one of comfort as she is the last of her breed and he was the only Warmage. Morgana did not come along until he was a full adult and already at war with the Mage Kings and by then they had taken to hiding what she is. Now I am giving to much of the story away I think. |
